Steve Jobs on conspiracies…

Steve Jobs for Fortune magazineYes, and today came the news that Steve Jobs is quitting as CEO of the world's richest company, Apple, and is being replaced by Tim Cook. Steve Jobs is perhaps best known as a hippie type with slightly left-wing ideas, but he has undeniably succeeded well with Apple in various rounds.

A friend wrote this Steve Jobs quote on Google+ a few days ago that I think is really good…

When you're young, you look at television and think, There's a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older, you realize that's not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want. That's a far more depressing thought. Conspiracy is optimistic! You can shoot the bastards! We can have a revolution! But the networks are really in business to give people what they want. It's the truth.”
—Steve Jobs

Stay hungry – stay foolish

One of the world's most watched video clips is Steve Jobs' speech at Stanford Commencement where he tells 3 stories from his life and how he followed his intuition and feeling when he dropped out of university. The other story is about how he was kicked out of Apple at 30 which meant he became free and more creative and founded Pixar and fell in love and had a family. You have to find what you love to do and do what you believe in.

The 3rd story is about death and knowing that one is going to die means that we have nothing to lose. In the speech, he talks about his news that he has been diagnosed with cancer and received the news that he will die within 3-6 months.
